Round one to us in Uxbridge!

By • on September 13, 2011

In June 2011, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association lodged a confident planning application for a – you guessed it! – “Community Centre” in Uxbridge.

But there is already a community centre next door! Building a community centre smack next door to an existing one seems overgenerous even to me. Surely the mosque organisation are not being coy about a mosque proposal?

This application was pulled a week ago, and an appeal lodged for “non-determination”. The mosque promoters didn’t want to wait for the Council decision.

Could this have anything to do with the number of objections coming in against the application?

Just to recap: in 2010 the Muslim Association applied to turn the Hillingdon Irish Centre members club into a “community centre”. They withdrew that application rather than get a refusal. But they reapplied in June 2011, this time offering all of 2 extra car spaces.

Local people objected, and we helped them. More local objections went to the Council Planning Department, and the mosque promoters have now taken matters out of the Council’s hands by going straight to appeal. And it’s a “written” appeal, i.e. nowhere for awkward locals to show up and express their points of view.

Technically, you don’t have to wait for a decision in order to appeal against it. But this is rare, especially after the application is still new – less than 3 months old. This mosque organisation didn’t like the reception they were getting, and with good reason.

Round 1 to us. If you want to help us win round 2, then please click here, and find out how to register your objections to the Appeal. Make sure you do it – even if the Planning Inspectorate don’t read them, they count them!

Royal Lane is crowded and extremely vulnerable. The site lies between 3 schools (Bishopshalt School,‎  Meadow Special School, and Meadow High School next door), and Hillingdon Hospital. Just look on Google Earth to see the parking restrictions – postcode UB8 3QU. Here’s the location:

Safe traffic flows are essential and will be harmed by the parking overspill that will result. The road surface is already under severe strain due to potholes caused by heavy traffic. This is the wrong proposal in the wrong place. Even before you take into account the congestion, disturbance, and general parking jihad that usually accompany a mosque.

Well done! I used to live a couple of stops on the tube from Uxbridge and when I left over 3 years ago the whole area’s character was already beginning to change. You’re doing sterling work over there, keep it up.

I wish we would do the same thing here. They are building their victory mosque at Ground Zero. It will be an international pilgrimage site for hajjis. The outside architecture is composed of images of crashing planes. This will be a long war.

Further to my previous comments I have dug a bit deeper & have discovered that the Falah islamic “Educational centre” (or temporary mosque) have logged plans for a change of use for a building in St.Stevens Road yiewsley middx.
& inkeeping with what appears to be a total disregard for our countries laws rules & regulations, they are in fact “Already” using it as such apparently totally unfettered regardless of the outcome of the application!
Also “Apparently” the Falah islamic ed centre has also been using the property known as Unit 1 the Coal Yard, Tavistock Rd, Yiewsley Middx, UB7 7QX as an islamic “EDUCATIONAL CENTRE”. I have observed the comings & goings of both adressess which are located a few hundred yards from each other & it would appear the tavistock rd address is in fact being used as a place of worship for islamic males & the St.Stevens rd address is where the women go whilst the men are worshiping! I can’t remember actually seeing ANY applications for either address in the local papers & I know for a fact the St.stevens rd address has been used in this manner for over a year. Its a little hard to tell about the tavistock rd address as it is very hidden away from sight on a site not accessable from any of the main roads or side streets in the area but I presume they both opened up at the same time. They are also using the for the same purpose an old small shop in station rd yiewsley which they were fundrasing via a video on you tube trying to raise 275 grand for the conversion of the property to a place of worship along with a gold dome to house up to 450 worshippers. They have since removed the video & the local gazette ran the story on its front page this week yet no one from “HEWA” have returned any calls! I hope this information can be of use to you, & I hope there is something you can do about this absolute liberty, if you need any other info on this or any other matter feel free to ask.
Thank you

I live “across the pond” in Salem, Oregon. I heard about this organization on the Michael Savage show (which I hear is banned in the UK). Nonetheless I wish this country would take a cue from you Brits on how to deal with these pushy, arrogant, dangerous, and vocal muslim minorities. We know their plans, but are afraid to actually say it in a public forum for fear of being branded “politically incorrect”. Political Correctness and all that it entails is killing the Western Civilization. Keep up the good work. I have this organization linked up to my favorites bar on my computer and I check in every few days to see what is going on over there. Good for you…Stay Strong!!

Just overheard the Post Master in the Post Office at Mulberry Parade (Porters Road, West Drayton) talking to a fellow muslim rejoicing over the go ahead from the council to build a mosque in the area. Apparently the application was rejected previously, but somehow they’ve managed to get it through despite the strong objection of local residents. They were gloating over that fact.

“The gora (white man) won’t like it”, I heard one of them say. “Yeah, they objected. We should send them a letter to say, thank you for your support. You objected, we got it anyway”.

What’s going on? What happened to democracy? Have they got council staff in their back pockets now? How can we stop them spreading their filth and intolerance if the council won’t uphold objections?

Many local residents weren’t even consulted!!!

There aren’t even that many muslims in the area, unless they’re planning a sudden influx! I have respect for the moslems for expanding their sites as they need to pray and worship God, all religions promote peace including Islam, most churches are changing into fast food outlets!! I understand the hatred from the above comments, comes from lack of knowledge or understanding of religions but is no excuse for ignorance, if the area is too busy you can always move away. Islam is the truth which is why it is the fasting growing religion like it or not, carry on writing your hateful comments but you cannot stem the tide.
